Really!?!? 4 months

Brinson the baseball player

This amazing child has been in our life for four months and it just seems like yesterday Ashley and I were walking in to the hospital. Well Brinson is growing at a rapid rate and survived his first set of shots. His parents also did well during the shots. Brinson is moving his feet and hands and enjoys playing in his bouncy seat. He is trying to roll over but I don’t think he understands the fundamentals of the action.

He just started child care with Mrs. Karen and his buddies Stryker and Peyton. He has seen grandparents almost every week for the month of July, which is always fun. Aunt Sarah and Aunt Angie also came and visited. I enjoy watching people lose their mind while spending time with Brinson. Brinson went and met his girlfriend Caroline Galban and they realized size might be a problem in their relationship.

Mom and Dad are doing well. They are adjusting to Snyder and all the things that come with a small town. Here are some pictures from the last month and half. Enjoy.

Small changes, large Impact

We have made more than small changes in life. Within 2 and half months we have had a baby, two new jobs, moved to another town, sold a house, and bought a house. Life has been a serious blur and I do not see it slowing down. I now have a job a Western Texas College in Snyder, Tx. Snyder, Tx is 80 miles south of Lubbock and 72 miles northwest of Abilene. Moving with Brinson has been a serious challenge. He is growing at a rapid rate and some nights he sleeps all the way through. Since we now have internet and a small amount of time I hope that I can post more often. Enjoy some pictures that were taken about three weeks ago. When you look at Brinson add a couple of more pounds and that is what he looks like. He is smiling more and might be laughing in the next couple of weeks. He pokes himself in the eye with his hand and then looks very confused about what happened. It is actually very funny to watch. Well, i better run and organize some more of the house. p.s. i will post pictures of the house when i find batteries in one of the many boxes.

Memorial Day

It has been awhile since I have posted because I accepted a new job and life has been crazy. Brinson is doing well and is enjoying life. The only parts of life he does not like is diaper change and being burped. He fights being burped so bad that becomes funny. He is excited about his bigger room in the new home in Snyder, TX. Nothing to exciting is happening in Brinson’s life except moving to a new town.

Ashley believes that Brinson smiled at her, which probably happened. Brinson is sad that Dad is not at the house, but is excited to be united with him during the weekend. Dad also misses his family in the big LBB. Enjoy the one picture i have from Memorial Day. I plan to post more pictures. Take Care.

Post Mother’s Day

Brinson did very well on his first mother’s day. He bought his mother new fresh water pearl earrings, and he went to his first church service. He enjoyed meeting his parents friends and future friends. He then went to an over priced italian restaurant and he slept through his first mother’s day lunch.

On another note Brinson had a diaper that made my eyes water. We have been trying to balance out his formula and breast milk so that his tummy will not hurt that much. So that is the Brinson update and enjoy the mother day pictures.

First Bath and Photo Moments

Brinson had his first bath a couple of nights ago and it was very uneventful. The only event was watching nana and momma try to put together the bath accessory. They really struggled putting together the accessory, therefore the accessory collapsed with Brinson in the bath. Then we wrapped Brinson up in Aunt Sarah’s little towel she gave him. Also enjoy the photo moments that Ashley had with Brinson. Thanks for reading.

Sometimes not convenient for the parents

We are learning so many things about a newborn and sometimes it is not convenient for the parents to learn. For example, this morning before church Brinson decides this is a good time to pee over his head and left shoulder onto mom and dad’s bed. The lesson we learned is never change his diaper on the bed or cover up his man parts before his urine kicks in.

I am amazed that i e now get excited about crap in a diaper but hey my life has changed and I am dealing with that. I will try to ad more photos as the weeks go on. Thanks.

Brinson Luther Martin is HERE

Brinson Luther Martin is here and better than ever. He weighed 8lbs 15oz. and 21.5 inches long. He is a beautiful baby and momma is doing well. He has lost only 2 oz. which is normal. Grandparents and aunts are very excited about the new life.

His parents are adapting well and have enjoyed Brinson. So far he is very calm and low maintence. Little man can throw down a good feeding. We have enjoyed our time at Covenant hospital and we will probably go home tomorrow morning (4/25/08). Brinson needs his operation on his man parts than gets to go home.

Momma did very well during labor and has inspired me a whole lot. Dad on the other hand cried like a baby because momma was in so much pain and the nurses made Dad sit down during the last three pushes. We will update later this weekend. Thanks for the prayers and calls.

Jan. Update

I have failed to update this blog and I appologize for being a lazy publisher of this site. Well we are 24 weeks and counting and Ashley is doing well. The doctors were concerned in late November and December about some high blood preasure and blood cloting, however we have been given a bill of health for Ashley and she is doing great. She has lost her verbal filter so she delivers her ire on people who cross her. I just sit back and laugh unless it is me and then I …… cry. Ashley wants to make a shirt that says “don’t push me because I bite back” Baby boy Martin is developing well and there is no complaints from the doctor.

We have painted the nursery, installed light fixture, and dimmer. We have ordered the bedding and furniture. We have recieved the bedding and the furniture will ship late Febuary. Well there are some of the highlights so far. Enjoy the pics.
